A completed S&R Flooring installation featuring wood-effect luxury vinyl tiles, decorative parquet-style panels, matching plank borders and fine dark feature strips. The photographs show the flooring continuing through the open-plan kitchen and living area, a separate sitting room, hallway and WC.
The design combines decorative wood-effect panels with a straight plank perimeter. Fine dark feature strips define the transition between the patterned centre and the border. The layout continues through doorways, with the border detail adjusted to suit each room and opening.
Careful preparation is essential before fitting LVT. The substrate needs to be assessed for moisture, soundness and surface level, then prepared using a system suited to the existing floor. The preparation specification varies between timber and concrete bases.
For a new installation, we assess the property before agreeing the preparation system and floor layout with the client.
The fitted panels and perimeter planks form a continuous design around the kitchen island, along the hallway and into adjoining rooms. The detailed photographs show the dark feature-strip lines, border junctions, doorway transitions and cuts around the WC.
The finished result brings the patterned flooring and the simpler border together across spaces of different shapes and sizes.
